Wassup? Bro, everything has gotten jacked up for me this season. I was totally ripping and I knew I would win everything, but I'm against all these politics. Now I'm over it. You're probably wondering why you haven't seen my name in the results or whatever, but trust me; I will be stacking up the big checks once everything gets hooked up.
I'm not some corporate sell-out, but whenever I'm out on the track, I'm just blowing people's minds. All the sponsor scouts were out at The Challenger one day and they just couldn't believe my lap times. Some guy who works for Suzuki flew over from Japan and asked if I wanted to help test the new RNs. I told the dude that I'm all hooked up with Yamaha, but he said we could just paint the yellow plastic blue and run it - they want me that bad. Remember, I'm not going to be held down all corporate anyway so I'm down with the new hue, bro.
I was all stoked on it, and I rode the RN and the guy said I broke all the world-record lap times at the tracks. Even Travis Pastrana was there and he couldn't keep up with me. We started doing back-flips around the track and the Suzuki guys where there cheering us on because they love it. Then I went to Pastrana's place in Florida and we just hung out and trained for weeks.
So the first race of the year here in D5 I show up and race pro, and all the regular fast guys where there. Ricky Carmichael was there on a CR, and I think even "Bubba" Stevens was there. They're pros and this was a big huge pro race invitational. It was like a million dollars for the win.
I had the RN and I didn't want it to say Suzuki on my registration so I didn't register. Yo, I don't need the money because I'm in it for the love, brah. So I just busted a jump over the fence and put in some practice laps. I was smoking them all and just railing, but then some referee flags me down and yells "Whoa dude slow down! This is just practice!" What he didn't realize was that, for me, I was going slow! But it doesn't matter because all the track owners hate me. I'm not their son or one of their special guys. In fact, like, every time I win a race lately they don't even list my name as first in the results. They always just give one of their boys credit for the win after I beat him straight up. I've argued with the results people, and they always admit they get paid by the track owner. Yeah, brahs, I'm sure you were!
Anyway, after breaking the speed limit in practice, they made me start one full minute behind everyone else as a penalty. Whatever. So I go to the starting line with this hot chick I met, and she's holding the umbrella. Actually, wait, it was two hot chicks with two umbrellas…. Or was it two twins under one umbrella? Anyway, I don't even remember anymore. So the other riders start and the officials come over to me and do a countdown, and all the fans are chanting and counting down the seconds like a New Year's Eve party or something. Then they let me go, and I was so fired up that I was just killing it. Like after a lap I'm right behind #1, who's in the lead, and then they announce that I have to pull over. They were mad because I didn't register to race and were probably scared I was going to win and show up Bubba and all those guys. Wait, oh yeah, I already passed him and whipped it so huge in his face!
So all these officials are chasing after me on four-wheelers and trucks and stuff. It's like when a fan runs on the field naked, only I had gear on and I was going really fast and was way harder to catch.
The fans were all cheering my name and throwing trash at the officials because they were so stoked on my ride. They were all chanting "Kory!" "Kory!" and I was digging it, so I just rode up into the stands and started throwing all my gear at them. I kind of was like the naked guy on the field then, except I have all these tats.
Anyway, the track owner kicked me out. But the Suzuki guys were stoked because they saw how many fans I had and they said it would be an honor if I could ride for them. So I told Yamaha "I'm over being corporate, brahs," and just moved to Suzuki.
The thing is, they want me to do some testing on the bike and don't want me to race it yet. I was gonna' race the High Point Super Pro Grand Nationals, but then Suzuki said they had just signed another big rider and they wanted him to be the guy to start winning on the bike so everyone would understand why they signed him to so much money. But like the guy who owns Suzuki is his uncle or something. Anyway it's just politics again.
So you know what? I'm over it. And I'm getting some more tats. Definitely getting my name on my stomach and then a big tattoo that says "I'm not a corporate sell out" on my back, right below my swoosh. This way everyone will know wassup the next time I jump into the crowd. It's all about my fans, dude. And the wins. I guarantee I'll have some big pro wins soon.
